AFL Grand Finals Parade 2013 at Collins St

The sun is peeking out and both sides of the streets are filling up with footy fans in yellow and purple. The excitement is building as supporters await their heroes to drive in and then speeches and sing Up there Gazaly right at the steps of Old Treasury. Even the neighbourhood Bank of Melbourne has set up a free coffee with barista in its banking lobby, as well as face painting for kids and little footy balls give aways!

It’s happening now on Swanston St/Collins St. Get there to cheer the two teams that have fought hard and well to get into the Premiership Finals tomorrow at the MCG and be part of this Melbourne legend.

Hawthorn Hawks vs Fremantle Dockers – may the greatest team win !

And as always, Melbourne, one of the best cities in the world !

Bikes Ep.2 [baskets]

I love seeing bikes all over Melbourne in all colours and fashion. The ones with pretty baskets never fail to make me pull out my camera to add them to my collection of bike photos.  Which one do you like?

I wish I am brave enough to ride a bike in the city and along the Yarra river. I guess I need a good level of stamina to tackle the slopes and confidence to ride alongside the trams and cars as well as watch out for pedestrians in every corner of the city! If I ever get myself on a bike and be a part of the ever growing cycling population in Melbourne, I will want to look stylish with a cool helmet and a nice basket, as well as gloves to keep out the cold and chic bike fashionwear ! I might get a friend and try out the blue rental bikes which are available along Swanston St, Fed Square and Southbank.  I will let you know when i do and share with you the my first cycle experience in Melbourne !

Laughter Club, Fed Square

Fed Square Laughter Club

When: 15/09/2013

Join in a 30-minute laughter session at Federation Square at 11:00am on the 1st Sunday of each month. Laughter Clubs come together for a session and people laugh for no reason without having to resort to jokes or humour. The sessions last about half an hour and are mostly held outdoors. They are run along the lines established by Dr Madan Kataria, who founded the global laughter movement 14 years ago with one club, and there are now over 5,000 clubs worldwide. Everyone is welcome to experience first-hand the fun of a laughter session, and gain the benefits of laughter, which improves the physical, mental, emotional, spiritual and social health of individuals, workplaces, and society.

Location: Cnr Swanston and Flinders St, Melbourne, Melbourne area,  Victoria, Australia
